“Clean Slate Give Back” – Second Chance: Dress for Success – Youth Program

 Be excited because we’re excited!

Soapy Water is a business that truly believes in a fresh start – a new beginning, and especially “Everyone deserves a second change in life” motto. When LilSoapy was approached about a program called “Dress for the Success” designed for incarcerated youth in Manteca California she couldn’t be more than happy to help!

These teens took a wrong turn in life. That’s ok. We all make mistakes. Through this program they are working on getting back on the right path. The teens in this program are going to job interviews, hearings, graduations etc. They are in need of professional attire. Not only to look their best but to raise their confidence level.

LilSoapy was extremely touched and immediately went into action. She decided to design a specialty soap for the organization called “Clean Slate – Prosperity”. 100% of the proceeds of this soap bar will be used to purchase clothing for the program. To launch the “Clean Slate Give Back” program immediately, LilSoapy is using the “Darius -for men” handmade soap for the current proceeds.

If you are interested in donating any men items such as ties, dress shirts, vests, slacks, shoes etc. please contact LilSoapy (Shannan Johnson) at lilsoapywater@yahoo.com. An organization such as this could always use more help.

We are excited about helping our youth and our community and have already collected ties.

February 2015 “Weigh – In” – Goal Date!

Yay

Hey Cuddlebugs,

YAY I MADE IT TO MY GOAL DATE!

My first goal of my weight loss journey was to make it through a whole month without cheating and to be consistent with my meal plan. Today I can say I completed that goal! (Happy Soap Dance)

It wasn’t so much as the weight loss, (well kinda but you know what I mean) The most important thing in my weight loss journey was to get in the habit of eating right. I am getting use to it. I think I should be fine after 90 days of eating better. At 90 days it will become natural habit (hopefully). It doesn’t mean I have given up the world of fatty foods. It just means every “blue or purple” moon I will enjoy it and only very little at that time.

My workouts this month were inconsistent. My goal for the month of March is to work out 5x a week. I will then graduate to 6x a week with one day off. There were weeks I would work out 2x a week and then the following week 3x a week. Once I get my exercise routine down with my meal plan I really think I will have consistent weight loss.

As for my weight loss, I started at 200.4lbs  on February 1, 2015. As of February 28, 2015 I weighed in at 191.8lbs.

I LOST 8.6LBS! YAYYYYYY!!

I started to be disappointed because I wanted to lose a full 10lbs. However I am closer to my goal weight than I was the beginning of the month so I can’t complain. Each pound and each inch is an accomplishment. I will celebrate every one of them.

My inches I did not measure but I do show a small difference in belly size according to my picture. Nothing so noticeable but I do notice a small change in certain clothing that I wear.

Well I can say for my first month I did pretty good. I like to ease into new things. I didn’t want to jump in and sprint and burn myself out. I feel great. My energy level is up. I had a very minor headache during my cycle week but other than that my migraines has stopped. I don’t have body ache getting up in the morning and no swelling in my feet or hands. So this shows the scale wasn’t that important. It just helps to see it moving down.

I rewarded my first month with a nice Anastasia Liquid Lipstick (Potion and Vamp) and Urban Decay’s original eye lid primer. Every month will be a reward but junk food won’t be one of them.

Minor Set Back …. Sigh Weigh-In

Weight-Scale

Hey Cuddlebugs,

My Week 3 weigh-in I gained 0.6ozs. Sigghhhh

Yea I know it’s not a lot really. But when you work hard during the week you expect a slight change lol. I realized that due to womanhood I am retaining some water. I also noticed that my prenatal vitamins are working against me. So I decided to stop taking the prenatal vitamins to see if I have a scale change for my final week of February.

However, since I didn’t lose any weight, I did however notice my clothing are a bit loose. So at least I lost some inches. I don’t know how to measure myself so I am going off by clothing.

Also I am still not consistent with my workouts. I can workout 3 days in a row and then skip a work out for another 2-3 days lol. I think that also may be a factor. I’m still doing my meal prepping. I wasn’t very motivated on Sunday to do it. However, I refuse to have another set back so I got up out of bed and got it done.

My final weigh-in for February will be this Saturday. I will include a before and after picture.

Keep my motivated and accounted for you guys… it is much needed.

Peace.

Meal Prep – Week 2

Week2MealPrep

I decided not to grocery shot for the week. I wanted to use what was in my fridge and add to it. Why leave good food sitting around because it’s a new week? I wanted to use up all of my current veggies before I purchased more. I did pick up a container of mushrooms, salmon fillets, honey, and broccoli.

Here is what I came up for the week. I am on a 1250 calorie intake.

Breakfast – Egg Muffin (Contains egg, spinach, and mushrooms) makes 12 (I eat 2 a day) and 1/2c. of apple slices

Snack – cantaloupe 1/2 cup

Lunch – 4oz Chicken Breast, 1/2c Grilled Sweet Potatoes and 1/2c Grilled broccoli

Snack – String Cheese Stick

Dinner – 4oz Salmon Fillet, 1/2c Brown Rice, Grilled Yellow Squash and Kale

Of course I am drinking my water with lemon all day. I also took my Biotin, Prenatal Vitamin and 2 of my 4 Skinny Fiber capsules.

Weight Loss – 200.4lbs down to 196lbs. I lost 4lbs 4ozs. (Yes I recorded from my highest weight).

Doing the Soapy Dance! YAY!

Take Care Cuddlebugs!
